Cruise Cruncher is an online cruise travel agency, here to make it easier than ever for you to find and book great cruise deals online. We were founded in 2020 with two main objectives: to build a fantastic online cruise booking experience, and to deliver an unbeatable service to our customers.
If you have any questions or feedback, we'd love to hear it! Chat with us online, or drop us an email at [email protected].
We know these are uncertain times, but don't fret. All of our bookings are covered by our Financial Protection Guarantee, and we only work with cruise lines that are members of ATOL and ABTA.
But what does that mean? Holiday protection can be hard to navigate, and it's more important now than it ever has been to ensure that your booking is protected in case things go wrong. So here's an overview of how it works...
If either Cruise Cruncher or the cruise line that you're booked on becomes insolvent, your holiday will either go ahead as planned or you'll receive a full refund.
From the moment you book with Cruise Cruncher, your holiday is financially protected under one of three schemes: our Financial Protection Guarantee, our ATOL bonding, or the cruise line's ABTA bonding.
When you make the payment for your Cruise Cruncher booking, the money goes straight into our independently managed trust account. Closer to the date of your sailing, the cruise line invoices us for the amount due and the money is paid directly from this account to the cruise line. In the event that Cruise Cruncher or the cruise line was to become insolvent before the cruise line has invoiced us, the money in this account would be protected from creditors and either returned to customers, or the holiday would go ahead as planned.
If you book a cruise with a flight through Cruise Cruncher, your booking will be protected by the ATOL scheme. For every flight-inclusive booking we make a small contribution to the ATOL scheme. In the event that the cruise line was to fail, you would receive a full refund, or if you're already on holiday, will be flown home for free by the CAA.
All of the cruise lines that we work with are members of ABTA. If you book a cruise that doesn't include a flight, when we pay the cruise line on your behalf, that money will be protected by their ABTA bonding. If the cruise line were to fail, ABTA would refund you for the full cost of the cruise.
You should always make sure you have adequate travel insurance when booking a cruise, but we understand that most won't cover all eventualities arising from Coronavirus. If your cruise is cancelled due to Coronavirus, you'll receive a full refund. If you're unable to travel because of Coronavirus, you'll need to cancel your cruise holiday – however, many of the cruise lines are offering enhanced cancellation policies. For the complete low down, visit the Coronavirus Cancellation Policies page.
